The Hive Learning Network Enablement Platform, SCIP, is a Social Community Innovation Platform that allows for Learning Network tri-party communities to collaborate on a secure, private, and safe platform, these three parties being patients and their families, clinicians and other caregivers, and researchers and their teams. From this platform, each party can learn and create a better quality of care.
Hive Networks, Inc. is dedicated to protecting the privacy of our users and their personal information. All data is securely stored in a secure enterprise environment. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use standard practices for technical, administrative and physical controls to protect the data from loss, misuse, or alteration.
All information shared in your Learning Network community is owned by the community.

Hive Networks is compliant to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). It is each Learning Networks responsibility to obtain parental permission and disclose what their data will be used for, for participants under the age of 13.
Information We Collect
We may use cookies and similar technologies to help us improve your user experience with our services, and improve and measure the effectiveness of our products. We may also use third-party web analytic tools to analyze website traffic or improve our services. Third party social login functionality (i.e. Login w/ Facebook account) is provided for ease of use and is only used for authentication of the user. User data stored within the Hive technology platform will not be shared with the third party social login solutions.
We will not, however, use cookies or similar technologies to track users for targeted advertising, nor will we permit anyone else to do so.
When you create an account, you will be asked for certain personal information such as your name, email address, birth date, clinical care center, etc. It is important that you provide accurate information for proper validation and facilitate our communications with you. You will also create a secure complex password. We will protect this information, and we will use and disclose it only in the ways we describe in this Privacy Policy.
After you register on the site, a Learning Network administrator will review and reject/approve your request. Once approved, you can participate in the Learning Network community that you are assigned, which includes direct messages, group discussions, information posts, and other communications among users.

Updates
There may come a time when we feel it is necessary to update or modify our Privacy Policy, although most changes will be editorial or expanding on the services that we offer on our platform. By continuing to use the Platform and participating in a Community, you agree to be bound by the following terms (“Terms”).
